Dr. Ken Evoy SiteSell.com Scam?

It appears that people are going a bit crazy over this site building program that people pay $300 a year for. Basically you get a domain, hosting, responder and some help etc. I'm not so sure it's a scam but I don't think they tell you the full truth. Lissie wrote about it on SiteBuildIt Scam Review.

Anyway, I think people are better off just using blogger or buying a bunch of pre-owned domains and throwing a WP blog on it with either Adsense or eBay. If you are going to be using blogger then I suggest you keep your money/credit card in your wallet and head over to Griz's Make Money Online blog.

Hey April,
A fine blog - your 5 points on your other post are very clear ! You should post more often you obviously know what you are talking about, which is more than most. I just dropped by to lend support to Lis - one thing I do wonder about SBI is why it costs $300 each time - surely peope paid for the 'support' the first time round ! Why do they need to pay for it each time they buy a site ? There's no need to answer that! Take care. GB

Enough said here, do it yourself, build it yourself design it yourself and if you work your tail off you can become successful, after three years of promoting my sites I am just beginning to see the lite at the end of the tunnel

This is the most ill-informed post I've seen in a *very* long time. Dr. Evoy's products, in particular Site Build It!, are some of the most honest, genuine, and effective products I've ever had the pleasure of using. I know, I'm a customer.

What you seem to be missing is that SBI is so much more than web hosting and support. The tools they provide save developers hundreds of hours and let you focus on the most meaningful aspect of creating a website - writing valuable content. Jeff, you still build it yourself, design it yourself, market it yourself, but SBI just saves you a ton of time on the backend and prevents you from making mistakes.

40,000 happy customers just doesn't happen in a scam. SBI provides true value. Don't believe me? Read some of their stories at http://case-studies.sitesell.com/James344.html.

What a load of poorly informed negative twaddle is being written about this great product.

Only someone who has owned the product should be commenting on it.

I have built around 20 websites for myself and my clients, and we continue to happily fork over $299 per website per year, so SOMETHING must be working with SBI!

Just happened upon this discussion...

I'm an Internet Marketing professional. I've been on the Web since the beginning. I don't use this product, but have examined it closely --- as I have examined numerous products and services. I think it offers astounding value and is an excellent product for someone who wants to be "do-it-yourself" in building up their business.

There is no way most people can do what Jeff Patterson recommends - just start from scratch and design/build and promote yourself. Where are you going to get the information? How much effort will that take? Cost is, ultimately, irrelevant. The point is what you get for your money. And in this case, you get a mind-boggling amount of quality information and assistance --- worth far, far, far more than the few hundred dollars.

Sitesell, sitesell.com, SBI, Site Build It (whatever they choose to called): I know this industry well and this is a masked scam. Masked in that it is legal, and only morally a scam (happy to expand on this).

Regardless, it is blatant SPAM, on the internet and in your inbox. For three years they have directly spammed my personal inbox from @sitesell.com emails. Every single time I replied with "UNSUBSCRIBE" as they claimed this removed you from their list. I also sent direct emails explaining that I did this several times and am still being spammed. It continues to this day. I have NO respect for SBI/sitesell as they have none for me.

Please, try to find their illustrious accreditation on BBB.org. I went there to file a complaint against them and they are either not registered, or are very well-hidden.
